The Highlander, completed in 1965, is a midcentury vibe condominium complex in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. Our clients reached out to us after a water leak in the building damaged their existing kitchen and bathroom and asked if we could help re-imagine their 950sf unit.

Working with a modest budget, we expanded and reconfigured the kitchen layout to become the command center for the apartment and gave the existing bathroom a refresh while we were at it. The reworked and expanded kitchen provides ample storage, dedicated space for the clients’ art and plants, and adds a new island to entertain guests, all while taking advantage of an iconic Seattle view.
