A second floor addition and substantial alteration to an existing 100 year old single family bungalow in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle.

The existing house was carefully deconstructed, preserving unique features such as original built-ins, stained glass and a brick fireplace. The existing basement and main floor plans were reconfigured, and a new second second floor tops it all off (get it?).

Working within a modest budget the addition/renovation attempts to create something new while still respecting the history and character of the original home and neighborhood.
